Next Planet - the game I'm programming
Wow... I had forgotten about GamerDNA's existance until today, when my friend reminded of it... So, I came here once again! :)
I noticed I hadn't written any experience for some while, so I decided to write up something :P In this case - what I've been doing mostly the latest few weeks.

I've been programming my own game! Oh, don't be so overexcited, it doesn't look like a game yet... There's a lot of programming left to do.
Right now it's a round planet one can walk around (yes, like in Super Mario Galaxy and Spore, just that you can walk around the planet without getting eaten by a sea-monster, like in Spore, and it's a normal-size planet, similar to Earth to some degree) :P Oh, and it'll be an RPG... even MMoRPG later on :P
The game's codename is "Next Planet"... I had attempted to create a web browser text/image based game under the same name, but I realized that text/image based game wouldn't make me satisfied of my work... so I began on working on this 3D game instead :)

You might think it's hard to program and all, but it's not that hard. It's more tricky than hard, finding the right functions to calculate the coordinates of something, but then it's very interesting to see the result, and it feels good to accomplish something, to solve a problem and be able to move on.

Got back my computer! Yay!
Yesterday I got my laptop back from repairs... apparently something was wrong with the motherboard. Warranty is a good thing :)

All is good now except that I have caught cold... Maybe I should have stayed at home today... but I went to school because it's pretty boring home. And tomorrow I have programming lesson, so I can't stay home tomorrow either! Aww... I hope I get better soon :P

Computer... repair... T_T
My computer's cooling system stopped working correctly, which caused my overheating... now my PC is at the repairs and I'll get it only in 3 weeks. T_T

Well, at least I am able to borrow my mom's laptop and so I can surf on the net and keep in touch with my friends. Also, I've finally found some time to read the book "Software Design with C++" which has been in my bookshelf for a year already.

Project Powder
This game is still in Closed Beta Testing (CBT), which ends in a few days. The open time for this game is from 10AM to 7PM PST, which means, it's 7PM to 4AM for me (GMT+1 with summer daylight savings time).

The game - it's snowboarding online game. Maybe it's nothing serious, but it's pretty much fun :)
All those who get lvl 5 at least - during CBT - will get a CBT hoodie after the Open Beta Testing (OBT) starts. And I'm lvl 8 as I write this message :)

Dunno what to write more :D Just try it ^^

Aeris - Final Fantasy VII
I had been watching Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children a few times... I had looked up the song when Tifa fights the bad one in the church (Marlene is there as well, hiding behind a pillar), the song's name is Those Who Fight. I downloaded the piano sheet and tried to learn to play it, but it's way too difficult and my synth is too small to play all notes.
Recently I noticed another song... the Aeris' Theme, which I looked up and downloaded the piano sheet. It's not that very easy either, but it's a bit easier. And it sounds very nice :)
At the moment I can only play the first half (and still with some pauses) - the 2nd part I'm going to learn when I'll be able to play 1st smoothly :P

Yesterday (or 2 days ago... time flies by so fast :P) I downloaded FFVII and began playing it again... Last time I hadn't gotten past the swamp with the long monster (I just didn't want to bother getting a chocobo (or how it's spelled) and, I guess, I had some other things to do than to play FFVII...
But now I want to play through the story that I've read quite much about... I want to feel through the moment of Aeris' death... I guess I just want to know how she was killed... :P

A. Flamewar? If it's meant as a war of flaming between two or more players, then never. I'm not such a person who flames others.

A. Myself :D I'm trying to make some games myself, though usually they don't satisfy my requirements to be classified as cool games, so I abandom them half made.

A. Oh yeah, I met my best internet-friend in RL once :P We use to play many different games together.

A. For some it's a way to get what they want in game and for others it's way to gain money to support their gaming addiction. I don't sell or buy any in-game goods myself.

A. I think it's normal. Actually, I play a character of the opposite sex too. I think it's cooler to play with a character that I really like how she looks in those robes than playing a male character in scary metal armor.

A. Male

A. My synth and my Skypephone :P

A. None, really

A. It would be a 3D MMoRPG where everyone would start out same strong - no character customization in stats before beginning to play, only character gender and look customization. The game wouldn't be grind- or quest-based, it would be skill based - different skills that one could advance without advancing the character's &quot;main level&quot; - like in Runescape, the non-combat skills. But it would surely have more detailed graphic than Runescape, as well as better GUI and active combat system, not as just click to attack a monster and watch it die. There would be a variety of combat skills and spells, as well as magical buffs etc.<br>Well, it's pretty hard to tell it all at once, but I've thought about it a lot, as I am actually making my own game! :P

Q. When do you play, including timezone? (Answer!)
A. Depends on my mood. Usually 5PM to 10PM (GMT+1, with summer daytime changes)

Q. What do your characters and avatars usually look like? (Answer!)
A. They look like they would look in their own life and adventures. They use the clothes they get from adventures or that they buy or make themselves, priority goes to items that don't look really bad, but are powerful.

Q. What do you love or hate about PVP? (Answer!)
A. I think it's quite useless. Sure, it's fun to find out that you're stronger than someone else, but I enjoy cooperation to achieve a higher goal more than PvP.

A. w00t?

A. Yeah!!! Actually, it's my dream!

A. It's a laptop with AMD Turion 64x2 1.8GHz processor, 15.4" LCD screen, ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 v-card, 160GB HDD and 2GB RAM. Kind of sucks for the best games, but I'm going to live with it for at least a year more.

A. Depends on my mood :P Actually, I tend to reinstall Windows and my games pretty often, so it changes often too.

Q. What are your most memorable achievements in a game? (Answer!)
A. Becoming a GM on a private WoW server, and refraining of using GM commands when playing my own characters. It's no fun to write a line or two to get the max level and best items.

A. Actually, none yet :P

A. Hah, my mom gave me to play some MS-DOS games on her work computer when my father and I went to her work, when she had some work undone and stayed at work for an hour or so more :P I still remember Supaplex :)

A. World of Warcraft, it has gotten attention of too many gamers, which is somewhat unfair to the other games, yet they've right to have that amount of players, by having made such a good game

A. Some of the in-game friends I have had, have remained as my internet friends, so partially yes

A. None, I'm too digital :P

A. My first nickname - DeadlyAK was suggested by my brother and his mates at the time when the only multiplayer game I played was CS. Next nickname, Denmad, I thought of by mixing a few letters randomly. I wanted to have some better nickname at that time. My nickname now - doqunbop - I thought of by searching on Google for something not existing, which means, unique. I wanted something that starts with D, as my previous nicknames did. What's interesting about my name is that if you rotate it 180 degrees, it's still the same :)

A. No, I feel voice chat detracts from the game

A. Anything that fits the motives of the game, or Evanescence (I never get tired of listening to Evanescence :P)

A. Difference is good at some times. But some mods/addons really go too far, by including sexual or too violent content.
